Ruby C. Roberts, age 90 of Hartford, Michigan formerly of Fennville passed away peacefully at her daughters home on Thursday, January 24, 2013. Born December 10, 1922 in Clarksville, Arkansas she was the daughter of William and Laura (Sluter) Harbert. Ruby worked as a machine operator for Hart & Cooley in Holland retiring in 1982. Ruby lived in the Fennville area for many years, moving to Hartford, MI about twenty years ago. She was a member of the New Beginnings Ministries in Bangor, Michigan. Surviving are her children, Irene Reed of Fennville, Michigan, Annette Roberts of California,
Joyce and Alvin Ammon of Hartford, Michigan, and Wes Roberts of Newaygo, MI 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI, with Pastor Mack Travis officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of service beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Fennville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be to Charity of One’s Choice.
